Ava has been the publisher of Ava's Kid Pages since 2010...with the help of her grandpa, John Rodgers, the Publisher of Hikes Point News America.  Friends, school and her familly arethe  most important in her life.  She is a good student and excels in singing.  She looks forward to singing in the school choir each week and she is a pretty good soccer player. She is a leader and has been recognized for her ability to win her classmates support in school projects. She is likeable, friendly and likes helping others. Her grandmother wants her to be a doctor like her.  But, I thinks she will pursue a career that challelnges more of her creative personality.  Time will tell.

LOUISVILLE LEAD ANTIQUE CAR SHOW
 .
Krazy Kurt is sitting in front of his old 2 door Dodge.  He is a leader in Louisville Lead.  It is an antique car club which features cars from 1950 and older.  His club meets every second Saturday at the Tractor Sales store on Preston Highway close to Gene Synder expressway.  Kurt was sitting in the parking lot of KMart in Hikes Point on Saturday evening when he posed for this picture.

Are you old enough to remember drive-in restaurants?  Drive-Ins were the forerunners of Sonic.  Servers brought your food to you and hung it on your door on a tray.  This photo is a good example of how it use to be and you can stil get this type of sevice at Sonic.  Plus, you can still get the Big Boy cheeseburger at Frisch's at their Take and Go window at the Hikes Point Frisch's.  Or, you can take more time and enjoy a meal inside by ordering from the menu or by enjoying their breakfast bar or lunch and dinner salad bar.  Plus, when you get old like me a good afternoon delight is a slice of cocunut pie and coffee eaten slowly in a booth at Frisch's.
