1982 MUSIC REVIEW OF JACKSON BROWN

Rock and Roll music was introduced in the 50's and continued through the 80's.  It had a similar impact on the world as the computer.  The lyrics, melodies and messages from each song have been buried  deep into our minds and influence the values we share today.  These messges and the melodies in the songs of Rock and Roll grabbed the hearts and minds of people everywhere and would not let go.  Even now there are radio stations that play Rock Music from the 60's through the 80's.  Jackson Brown was a major artist during the 80's and his music tugged at the spirits of the everyday people and helped them to feel alive.  Sombodys Baby was one of those songs. It lifted the spirits of everyday people.  It is the only song of this type Jackson Brown recorded and it was his greatest success reaching number 7 on the Billboard chart.  He sold over 18 million records and he is still a huge success in the music industry.  His current music expresses his concern for the negative changes that have occured inside the hearts and minds of people in America and also in politics.  His music is well written and has soft melodies.  But, it does not make you want to sing and be happy like his greatest selling song "Somebodys Baby".
