HELLO IN THERE
What should we do with our parents when they get old and can not care for themselves?
Should we allow death panels to decide if our mom and dad lives?
Bill Gates has posed the question, "Which would be better, spend a million
dollars to help an elderly person live one more month of life or use that same money to employ more teachers?"
Our life is all we have that holds true value. Is it worth spending
a million dollars to give an elderly person one more month of life?
No! It is worth everything we have. Everyone should be guaranteed the right to spend as long as they
can in this life.
Money is an illusion. Life is real. Without
life, there is no need for money, for hospitals, for doctors or for anything else.
Look deep into the eyes of the elderly and you will find yourself in there. Respect your elders and be kind
and loving to them. Treat them the way you want to be treated.
song "Hello In There" by John Prime. This song reminds us of how important it is for all of us to pay
attention to the elderly. We should recognize their worth and the contributions they have made with their lives.
