Genna Suane Yussman is not stranger to the art, drama and fashion world. As a child, her very first job was designing
puppets for Farmington Historical House. The money earned from this job prompted Genna to purchase her first of many
sewing machnes. As Genna's love for costume and fashion design continued to grow so did her talent, which was
clearly recognized when she applied and was accepted to the Youth Performing Arts School in Louisville, Kentucky.
Her adventure continuekd on by creating unforgettable clothing for Chef Ware and their
magazine under the direction of designer Nicole Miller. Eventually, Genna ended up in New York studying vocal, drama
and fashion. Upon completion of her studies Genna's motivation and flair for fashion took a positive turn. She
went to work for the following companies: Barbizon International Model and Talent Agency, Mosaic Talent Agency (California)
and the ICE agency (Toronto, Canada).
Genna traveled the mid-west designing costumes, choeographing runway shows
and oing make-up artistry for photo shoots. During this time period life became a balancing act. Since Genna displayed
a grand show and designs in the areas of high fashion, couture, edgy rock and Broadway production, she started freelancing.
Immediately, her costumes were purchased by a prjoduction company in the United Kingdom for the Broadway play called.
"Sunset Boulevard", for local movie productions and prop designs for Dream-works and Rodeo productions.
Finally, after years of traveling, Genna returned home to Kentucky which was the best decision
she ever made. Here treasured rewward was reconnecting with famly and building her own art studio in her home.
Currently, Genna manages two internet business, works in graphic arts and technical/computerart characterizations. Throughout
Genna's life she continues to reinvent herself. Genna entered a contest and designed 5 toy creatures for CLAEA Toys
in Thailand where 3 of her 5 toy designes made it in to the final 100 that had been submitted world wide. She had one
of her designs finish in the top 50 that were selected for production which thw whole world would get to see.
She's highly involved with the Kosair Kid's Fashion Show and here are some of her accomplishments:
Designer of Cowboy Jeans for the Bryan White Fan Club, designer of sexy costumes for PLayboy Models and Boudoir of Louisville
Pin-up designer of costumes for Sub rosa, The Gypsy Courtyard = Mystical Creatures Show, a finalist in Today's Woman
Magazine Fashion Contest and is creator of slipperytricks-vintage (a web sit). In addition, Genna participated
in the Dress for Success Fashion show. She succeeded brilliantly by designing clothes for an auction. all the
proceeds from the deisgned clothes helped women purchase clothes for job interviews.
she did a shoot for Miss Kentucky plus created a dress and accessories for her. Her goal is to do costume high fashion
design and is now accepting new projects.
